Descripción general

Description

LM9044VX/NOPB is TI’s low‑power single‑cell Li‑ion battery gas gauge IC (LM904x family). It monitors pack voltage, current (via an external sense resistor), and temperature (NTC), and performs coulomb‑counting to estimate state of charge (SOC). An I2C‑compatible interface lets a host MCU read SOC, V, I, T, and status, and configure thresholds/calibration. It provides protection features (over/under voltage, overcurrent/short‑circuit, battery presence) and supports wake/sleep for low power. The NOPB suffix means Pb‑free packaging, and VX denotes a specific package variant. External components required are a sense resistor and an optional NTC thermistor. Applications include single‑cell Li‑ion/Li‑poly battery packs in mobile devices, tablets, wearables, power tools, USB power banks, and other portable electronics.
